The founders of the colony had a racist ideology that they felt so strongly about that they fled their country to form this colony. But a few generations later it seems like this ideology was completely forgotten, and we see the descendants marrying Amerindian Paraguayans. This is one of the things to look out for when making multigenerational plans: your descendants might not share your views.

Interesting contrast with the Mennonites in Belize.  Religion works, racism doesn't.
